I just love when I buy items that match perfectly with stuff that I already have at home! LOL One of the many reasons why I adore H&M is that their clothes are so reasonably priced! I mean, a suit for $55 and a whole look for just $75??!! You can't go wrong with that :)

So this is my girlie version of menswear! I love how the colors compliment eachother. It's perfect for the Summer. A cool thing about wearing a monochromatic look is that it tricks your eye and makes you appear taller, especially if you pair it with a neutral shoe! Sometimes I try to stay away from being to matchy matchy, but with this outfit I don't mind as much.

This past Sunday we celebrated my husband's birthday :) We both got dressed up and headed to the W Hotel in DC for some dinner and drinks!

Can you believe this outfit is from Target? lol How awesome is that?! I love making inexspensive pieces look totally chic! Now, I've mentioned the high-low trend before and posted this exact dress in Monday's post. Did you recognize it?

This outfit is perfect for a fancy brunch with the girls, a bridal shower, and of course a birthday dinner.

I'd like to introduce Emily and Meghan! The beautiful wedding we attended over the weekend inspired me to do this post! Weddings can be one of the hardest events to dress for, but don't worry, I've got you covered! :)

Don't wear:

White. Duh, I know! This rule has relaxed a bit so you can get away with wearing a printed dress with a white background and some cream colored clothing. Still, it's better to be safe than sorry so go with a different color!
Jeans or shorts, no matter how casual the wedding. This is my ultimate pet peeve!
Anything too sexy, too short or revealing, especially if the ceremony is held in a place of worship. Bring a wrap or jacket to cover your shoulders if your dress is strapless/sleeveless.
Anything torn, with holes, stained, too big or too small for you.

Do Wear:

A floral sun dress. These are great for daytime weddings.
Cocktail dress. One that you would wear out to the theater or dinner. A cocktail dress is great for an evening wedding.
A dressy/cocktail suit. It is never mandatory for a woman to wear a dress. A well fitted suit can be just as beautiful, and you'll stand out from the crowd ;)

As for the ladies and myself, we stuck to the classic cocktail dress. Brights, peplum, and floral are all big trends this year.

Ever wondered what to wear to the airport?! Well, the key to traveling is to be comfortable and there is nothing more comfortable then a maxi dress! This weekend I traveled from VA to TX. With it being almost 90 degrees in both states, the maxi was a great idea! Easy and stylish :)
