The Fancy Collar

Happy Hump Day :) Friday is almost here, can you feel it? I CAN. lol

I'm sure you guys have seen this trend already. Bib necklaces and textured collars are everywhere and I'm loving it. The necklaces are awesome because you can add them to the simplest shirt and give it a whole new look. I like to think of it as the t-shirt makeover. You can add them to shirts, sweaters, and even dresses. It's the Fall's "it" accessory and it's also on my wish list. Now, this fancy little shirt from H&M was a steal. I love the pearls and the classic combination of black and white. Paired with high waisted skinnies, a red lip, and feminine heels; I gave the top a more modern vintage feel.

Hope you like!

Beauty Tips and Tricks

Happy Monday lovelies :) I hope everyone had a great weekend.
I wanted to take a little break from shopping (only until Wednesday lol) and share some of my favorite beauty products, tips and tricks that I use/do on a daily basis.
Hair:
-Do not wash your hair everyday. It'll strip the natural moisture in your hair an scalp.
-Invest in a good blow dryer and flat iron, trust me, you'll notice a difference!
-One of my favorite products is it's a  it's a 10 miracle leave-in plus keratin leave in spray. It leaves your hair incredibly smooth, silky, and soft. It also protects against heat, replaces lost protein, detangles, defrizzes, and straightens.
Face:
Every night I have a routine for cleansing my face.
-I start with Aveeno positively radiant cleanser.
-Next I exfoliate. It's always best to exfoliate at night because your skin regenerates while you sleep. My fav is St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub.
-After your face is nice and clean, next step is moisturize. Let your face air dry instead of using a towel. Your towel can be dirty and irritate your skin. Olay Complete all day moisture cream is the best.
-Eyes are next. Olay Age Defying Revitalizing Eye Gel is awesome. It's a great 1st step in age defying products. Wanna know a secret? Sometimes when I run out of my Olay gel I use Vaseline ;) Believe it or not Vaseline is like a little miracle in a bottle. Use it all over your face if you want, I know plenty of women who do.
-Have a blemish? Try Clean and Clear Acne Spot Treatment. I can't stress enough how amazing this product is. It is ALWAYS in my medicine cabinet.
-Dark spots? Acne scars? My favorite fade cream is Ambi Fade Cream. Trust me it works, so be careful and only use it on the part you want to lighten.

Body:
-Always moisturize.
-Run out of shaving cream? Try using hair conditioner or Vaseline (for smaller areas).
-If your going to use a tinted moisturizer I suggest mixing it with one of your regular moisturizers. It'll go on more evenly and you can always go darker if you want by adding more of the tinted lotion.
-Exfoliate your body as well. It'll leave your skin smooth and even.

Hey guys :)
So, I've been obsessing over corduroy pants for the Fall. JCrew has some skinny corduroys  in beautiful colors with a zipper detail in the ankle. In the outlet they run about $80-$90 a pair :( I was heart broken because I wanted every color! LOL Well, I recently went to my favorite store, H&M, and surprise surprise. They have corduroys. They have multiple colors and a zipper detail at the ankle. So I bought 3 pairs for less than one pair at JCrew. Exciting :) I also picked up another blazer to add to my collection. This blazer was worn in my Blue and Yellow post.

ShoeMint: $80

So I bought my first pair of ShoeMint shoes and now I'm obsessed! The quality is amazing and they are surprisingly comfortable. They have a great selection of unique shoes. Wanna join? Click on my personal link and sign up, you won't regret it :) http://shmnt.co/Ss2KQc

9 to 5

Morning loves :)
I wanted to do a post dedicated to all of the "9 to 5" working girls!

The September issue of People Magazine has some great tips on how to dress for work. Here are some of my favorites:

*If you work for a conservative office make sure you cover up, pick understated hues, and keep accessories simple. In your wardrobe incorporate blazers, trousers, pencil skirts, and closed-toe shoes.

*If your job is more on the creative side, go for unique shapes, play with prints, and have fun with accessories. Be "fashionable but not over the top..."

*If your office is more casual be "laid back but not sloppy". For example, jeans and flats would be more accepted.

Blouse: H&M $30, Skirt: Express $12 (sale), Shoes: Christian Siriano $30 (sale)

Don't forget to add a bit of personality! My look today is for a more conservative office. Its feminine with a sassy lip.

Good morning :) Today's look is about incorporating your Summer pieces in to Fall. Colored denim is making its way through the seasons. Instead of the pretty pastels of Summer, go for the more rustic rich colors of Fall. Add a blazer and your set! Hope you like :)

Total Cost: $110

Hey Guys!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend :) My husband and I had a long weekend at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. It was our 1st visit to the beach this Summer. We ate a lot, drank a lot, soaked up the sun and took advantage of Delaware's no clothing tax. LOL It definitely was a great weekend.

This was a simple look for those cool $20 lobster beach nights :)
