National Capitol Columns

Hi guys! Happy Friday Eve!
Today's post is from a few days ago when we visited the National Capitol Columns in southeast DC. The columns are kept at The United States National Arboretum and are definitely a sight to see. These beautiful Corinthian style columns are the original Capitol Building columns from the 1820's. In 1958, they were removed due to some revamping of the Capitol dome and in the 1980's, the Arboretum gave them a new resting place on the east side of the Ellipse Meadow.
