American Girl in Paris

I hope you guys have enjoyed this little peek into our trip to Paris.

I thought I would share some dos and don'ts, places to visit, and things I learned from our trip. So here goes:
  • If you take the Metro do not throw away your ticket! They do occasional ticket checks (especially around the Eiffel Tower) and if you do not have your ticket you will get charged 50 euros. Don't let this discourage you, the Metro is so convenient and easy to navigate.
  • Do rent an apartment/loft from Air BnB to get an authentic feel of Paris.
  • Go have afternoon tea at The Peninsula Hotel from 3pm-6pm, then walk to the Arc de Triomphe, and continue on to the Champs-Elysees for shopping.
  • While at the Champs-Elysees, get some macaroons from Laduree
  • Pack comfortable shoes! You will walk everywhere.
  • Have dinner at Latin Quarter.
  • Buy a book from Shakespeare and Comp.
  • Try the famous African hot chocolate from Angelina.
  • Try and visit as many museums as possible. Keep in mind many are closed on Mondays.
  • Do buy a baguette before heading back to your room.
  • Do finish the baguette before heading back to your room.
  • Try your best at speaking French even if you only know a few words. It is appreciated.
  • TAKE TONS OF PICTURES! :)
