Jacket: H&M $50 (currently on sale for $30), Jeans: Express: (old), Flats: Target $28 (old)

I don't think Astana received the memo about August being the hottest month of the year. Luckily I packed some of my favorite jackets, like this textured weave coat from H&M. It is currently on sale for $20 off its original price and it also comes in different colors and patterns. I've linked it above with the outfit details. Happy shopping!

Sweater: Express (old), Shorts: Zara $80, Socks: Forever 21 $10, Booties: Urban Outfitters $40 (sale), Bag: H&M (old)

Happy Wednesday! I know some of you must be thinking, "$80 for a pair of shorts?!"  Yes, I paid $80 for a pair of shorts! I have expensive taste! LOL I normally would of put these shorts back but I didn't want to. I fell in love with them and the way they fit. So I treated myself. I've already worn them twice. I dressed them up for Thanksgiving with a black collared blouse, darker tights, and black heeled booties. This time I thought I would go for a more casual cozy look.

Exploring DC

Pants: JCrew $35 (sale), Top: H&M $10 (old), Flats: Express $24 (sale), Bag: Michael Kors

There's nothing better than exploring your city on a beautiful day. Angel and I went to DC over the weekend determined to visit places we hadn't been before. Our first stop was The Yards DC. It's a great riverfront with trails, restaurants, and some fun historical walks.

We then stopped by the DACHA Beer Garden for beer and a lovely view of Elizabeth Taylor. Oh, and there was some soccer game playing too. LOL ;)  After that, we explored some alley art then headed to Georgetown for some pizza.

I wanted to be comfortable yet stylish so I wore these great breezy JCrew draw string pants and sleeveless top. And the fact that this look was about $70, made it all that much sweeter.

Happy 1st day of July dolls!
