Beauty Tips and Tricks

Happy Monday lovelies :) I hope everyone had a great weekend.
I wanted to take a little break from shopping (only until Wednesday lol) and share some of my favorite beauty products, tips and tricks that I use/do on a daily basis.
-Do not wash your hair everyday. It'll strip the natural moisture in your hair an scalp.
-Invest in a good blow dryer and flat iron, trust me, you'll notice a difference!
-One of my favorite products is it's a  it's a 10 miracle leave-in plus keratin leave in spray. It leaves your hair incredibly smooth, silky, and soft. It also protects against heat, replaces lost protein, detangles, defrizzes, and straightens.
Every night I have a routine for cleansing my face.
-I start with Aveeno positively radiant cleanser.
-Next I exfoliate. It's always best to exfoliate at night because your skin regenerates while you sleep. My fav is St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub.
-After your face is nice and clean, next step is moisturize. Let your face air dry instead of using a towel. Your towel can be dirty and irritate your skin. Olay Complete all day moisture cream is the best.
-Eyes are next. Olay Age Defying Revitalizing Eye Gel is awesome. It's a great 1st step in age defying products. Wanna know a secret? Sometimes when I run out of my Olay gel I use Vaseline ;) Believe it or not Vaseline is like a little miracle in a bottle. Use it all over your face if you want, I know plenty of women who do.
-Have a blemish? Try Clean and Clear Acne Spot Treatment. I can't stress enough how amazing this product is. It is ALWAYS in my medicine cabinet.
-Dark spots? Acne scars? My favorite fade cream is Ambi Fade Cream. Trust me it works, so be careful and only use it on the part you want to lighten.

-Always moisturize.
-Run out of shaving cream? Try using hair conditioner or Vaseline (for smaller areas).
-If your going to use a tinted moisturizer I suggest mixing it with one of your regular moisturizers. It'll go on more evenly and you can always go darker if you want by adding more of the tinted lotion.
-Exfoliate your body as well. It'll leave your skin smooth and even.
Have any tips of your own? Please share and if your interested in any of the products I've mentioned, just click on the purple :)

  1. I wash my face with warm water because it opens up the pores to get a good deep clean, then rinse with cold water because that closes to pores back up. I don't drip dry my face but that is a good idea, I use a special hand towel that is only used to dry my face when cleaning it.
Also the warm cold thing works on the hair too! The hot water opens the hair cuticle to get a deep clean and rinsing with cold water closes the hair cuticle and helps the hair be a little more shiny.
A good tip for hair too if you use a flat iron is to wash hair at night and let it air dry then flat iron it in the morning so that your hair doesn't get heat damage from the blow dryer and flat iron.
Sorry such long comment I just love hair and makeup. What makeup brands do you use? Your makeup always looks great!

    1. This is awesome Leslie, thanks!! I do the hot and cold with me hair when I remember lol I also do the wash at night style in the morning. But I am guilty of using the blow dryer and then the flat iron. I go back and forth in my makeup, I think it's because I haven't found the miracle product yet (and because I can't see spending a lot on designer brands). I do love mineral makeup. Bare Minerals is awesome. I sometimes have trouble picking the right color. I must admit that I use tons of pharmacy brands! I love Physicians Formula for my bronzer and I'm obsessed with Nars Orgasim blush! Thanks so much for the advice. :-D
