Get Ready w/ Me x Makeup Tutorial

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm so excited to share my first Get Ready w/ Me (slash) makeup tutorial post with you guys today! Over the years I've received tons of makeup questions and I've done beauty posts in the past, but today I wanted to do something a little bit different and (hopefully!) more helpful.

This look has been a go-to for me for months now. It's an everyday look that is quick and easy. This is the exact makeup look that I wore in my latest outfit post, Totally Tropical

Now, this is a Get Ready w/ Me post so apologies for the crazy hair. ;)

I hope you enjoy!

Step 1:

First, I start with my face. I moisturize, then apply a primer all over. Next comes foundation. Recently I've been using 2 foundations, different brands and colors, to create the perfect shade. Revlon's PhotoReady Foundation is my FAVORITE, I use the shade 006 Medium Beige. I mix one pump of that with a small drop of  L'oreal Infallible Pro-Glow in shade 209 Caramel Beige. I brush that mixture on all over and blend with a Beauty Blender.

Step 2:

Next, eyebrows. I fill mine in using e.l.f. Cosmetics Eyebrow Kit in Medium and an angle brush.

Step 3:

Now I move on to my eyes. I add a few strokes of NYX's Jumbo Eye Pencil in the color Milk as a primer. For shadow I use Inglot's Pressed Powder in color 30. This is more of a bronzer, but I love the color so I use it as a shadow. I apply it all over the lid, into the crease, and on my lower lash line. I then apply a nude color shadow into the crease with a fluffy brush to blend away any harsh lines.

Step 4:

Next I conceal/highlight. One thing I might do different than some, I first use a light colored foundation under my eyes (L'Oreal True Match Lumi in D/W3 Gold Linen) instead of a concealer. It helps hide my dark circles, but keeps the skin dewy. I prefer dewy over a cakey or powdery look. Sometimes I just do this if I'm doing a quick makeup look.

I then use a little of Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind concealer in Neutralizer in the parts of my face that I want to "highlight". (Chin, forehead, Cupid's bow, etc.)

For those times that I need a more full coverage under my eyes, I add another light layer of the Maybelline Age Rewind, then a tiny bit more of the True Match Foundation to keep the dewy look.

Step 5-6-7:

Now comes the contour. For Christmas I received this great gift set from Ulta with a ton of different shadows, powders, lipsticks, etc. Since then, I've been contouring with a cream instead of powder. With the cream I use a small stipple brush from e.l.f. Cosmetics and blend it along my cheekbones, nose, jaw line, and hairline.

I then set the cream and blend out any harsh lines with some powder in the same color as the cream.

Blush is next. I apply MAC Cosmetics Powder Blush in Margin on the apples of my cheeks.

Then, with a fan brush I apply MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. I add it to the tops of my cheekbones and continue to swipe it under my eyes. Also on the tip of my nose, bridge of my nose, chin, and Cupid's bow.

Step 8-9:

Finally, I curl my lashes and apply mascara. My current favorite is L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara.

To set everything I use NYX's Dewy Finish setting spray.

Step 10:

Lastly, lips. Current pinky nude fave goes to Ulta's Matte Lip Cream in Tender.

Oh wait! Almost forgot.

Step 9.5:

A little highlight in my tear duct. One of my favorite things to do. I use Inglot's Freedom System Eye Shadow in color 35!

And Voila! Below is the finished product.

I hope you guys enjoyed this! I will of course provide a ton of shopable products below.
