Celebrating Holi in Guyana

Happy Wednesday!

A few days ago Angel and I celebrated our first Holi and it was the most amazing experience.  For those who don't know, Holi is a Hindu Spring festival celebrated by Hindus and non-Hindus all across the world.

Holi is also known as "the festival of colors."  People of different race, gender, creed, age, and profession get together to celebrate and smear colored powders on each other.  They celebrate the triumph of good over evil, love, and the arrival of Spring.

It was such a beautiful experience.  Today I thought I would share some photos.  I hope you enjoy!

There's something so special about experiencing different cultures.  I hope this post inspires you to step out your comfort zone and try something new.  You never know what beautiful things in life you might be missing out on.
