Let's Talk About Skincare

Hey guys, today's post is all about my current skincare routine.  I've been getting a bunch of questions lately, so I thought I would answer them, share some new products that I really love, as well as share shopping links!

When it comes to my skincare routine, I try to makes things as easy as possible.  There are multiple steps but nothing too complicated.

Step 1: Cleanser + exfoliate
Step 2: Serums
Step 3: Eye Cream
Step 4: Moisturizer
Step 5: Blemish Treatment

Every night before bed I wash my face, even if I haven't worn makeup that day.  A clean face is a must.  I then exfoliate, but only a few times a week.  Next are serums.  I layer Vitamin C, Retinol, and Hyaluronic Acid.  After the serums absorb, I add eye cream and then moisturize.  Lastly, I spot treat any blemishes or dark spots.

There are a few products that I've used for 10+ years that I will never give up; like my Aveeno Positively Radiant cleanser, St. Ives Apricot Scrub, Ambi Fade Cream, and Clean and Clear Advantage Spot Treatment.

Recently I've started experimenting with serums, moisturizers, and eye creams.  It's now a must in my routine but the products sometimes change.

I found a serum set on Amazon that I LOVE!  They are super affordable, have great reviews, and arrive to your door in 2 days.  Serums are important for maturing skin.  They also help in reducing wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, dryness, sun damage and discoloration.
(I have a dedicated post on serums here!)

A few moisturizers that I love are the Overnight Miracle Glow Night Cream by Mia del Mar
Blue Lotus Essential Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 by Purlisse, and Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream by Clarin's.  Currently I am using L'Oreal's Collagen Moisture Filler day and night cream, which I highly recommend.  All creams are super hydrating, smooth, and leave your skin glowing.

Now I'll admit, I have been terrible about using eye cream.  I would rarely buy them.  If I had it I would always forget to use it.  I'm trying to get better at that.  I've recently started using Mario Badescu's Hyaluronic Eye Cream

When I do breakout I immediately use Clean and Clear Advantage Spot Treatment.  I also try to drink  plenty of water throughout the day and eat well.  Healthy skin comes from within.

I have hyperpigmentation, which means when I scar it leaves dark marks.  My secret weapon is Ambi Fade Cream.  I've been using this since high school.  When ever my blemishes turn into dark spots I use the Ambi Cream until the spot fades.

I've also been trying to get better with using face masks more frequently.  In order for them to actually work, you have to use them as recommended, which is about 3 times a week.

I LOVE Purlisse sheet masks and Lapcos sheet masks.  I've also started using
Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask.  I love it because it firms and tones with collagen and clay.  It also tightens, nourishes, and purifies skin.  It's also great for sensitive skin.

Hopefully I've answered some of the questions you have.  One question that kept popping up was about my skin type.  I have normal to combination skin.  I get a super oily T zone.

Another great question was, "what's your favorite skincare brand".  I don't have an absolute favorite, but ones I LOVE are Purlisse, Clarin's, Aveeno, and L'Oreal.  Nothing too fancy. 😂

Please feel free to reach out with any more questions!  As always, you can shop all the products I mentioned below.  OR shop them via my Amazon store here

OH, and I hope you liked my bubble bath photoshoot! Haha  I definitely took advantage of having a big tub in our hotel room.

Happy Thursday!
