Photo Diary: Hello Again, East Coast

Heyyy! I'm officially back in SoCal after a few weeks on the east coast.  My husband, Angel, was promoted earlier this month in VA and the whole family travelled to attend his promotion ceremony.  It was such a great time!  I then visited family in NYC and went back to VA to celebrate my birthday weekend and attend a friend's wedding.

I visited a couple new spots that I loved and wanted to share, as well as some photos that didn't make it to the gram.  Hope you enjoy!

Virginia: Promotion Day

Such a special day!  If you want to see more photos, I have a saved "highlights" folder over on my Instagram.  You can check it out here.

My mother in law and I pinning on Angel's new Warrant Officer ranks.

The Rodriguez family. 🥰

New York City:

One night in the city, my siblings and I went to Vandal.  We had the BEST time.  Definitely recommend.  Food and drinks were amazing. I recommend the smoked pork arepas, Vietnamese street fries, and the miso glazed crispy eggplant!

Virginia/DC: Birthday Weekend

Since we attended a wedding on my actual birthday,  Angel and I had a pre-birthday dinner in DC.  We ate at Bistro Cacao, the cutest French restaurant.  I recommend the grilled scallops, stuffed airline chicken, and rack of lamb.

Fredericksburg, Virginia: Birthday Brunch

For breakfast we ate the CUTEST restaurant in downtown Fredericksburg called Mercantile.  It's a great breakfast and lunch spot that I highly recommend.  Make sure you try the breakfast tacos, the pourover coffee, house-cured salmon, and one of their homemade sweet treats.

Georgetown, DC:

One of my favorite things to do while in VA/DC is to head to Georgetown to walk around and shop.  It is also mandatory that I stop by Ladurèe and pick up some macarons.  They are my FAVORITE!  I'm obsessed with papaya, coffee, rose, and pistachio.

I hope you guys enjoyed this mini travel photo diary!  Wishing you all a great week.
