June Recap

Summer is finally here!

June was a lot of fun. I went to my 1st baseball game at the Washington Nationals Stadium, we celebrated Angel's birthday at Medieval Times, we bought our 1st record player at Urban Outfitters, and we became a little obsessed with wine and cheese platters. LOL Cant wait to enjoy July :)

Pineapple print on print...So cute right!? And super trendy.  Print on print is everywhere now and I thought I would play along. JCrew Factory has a few different pieces with this pineapple print. Since I've been searching for a romper, choosing these two pieces was easy. Now instead of one look, I have three. Genius, I know! LOL

So June 21st is the official first day of Summer. If you ask me, it's felt like Summer for the past week! LOL Today's look is all about some of my favorite Summer wardrobe staples. I love bright colors, dresses, straw hats, espadrilles, and fun dewy makeup during the Summer. I think it's safe to say that I successfully included each one of those in this outfit. Every year I find myself in search for the perfect pair of tie-up espadrilles, in a flat and wedge. This year is the first time that I found the perfect flat pair. I cant believe I never heard of Soludos before. They specialize in comfy espadrilles in all styles and colors. I would def recommend getting a pair. They run true to size (I purchased a size 7) and they tend to stretch just a bit after walking. I'm thinking of getting a solid color pair in this same style.

Now you might notice something different about today's post. I have teamed up with Reward Style to bring you ready-to-shop product links! It seems like forever since I last cut my hair. I've been trying new looks with the added length and I must say I really like it with this turban headband.  I felt so 1920s fab with my hair and makeup this way I thought I would play around with the era. Something with a drop waist would of really captured the whole flapper look, but since I didn't have anything in my closet I kept the outfit more modern. It's always fun to play around with different looks. Hope you guys like, talk to you soon!

Blazer: H&M $30 (similar here and here), Blouse: H&M $10 (similar here, here, and here), Leather Leggings: Zara $60 (similar here), Clutch: JCrew Factory: $40 (on sale), Heels: Christian Louboutin

Hey Guys! Black and white has always been a favorite combination of mine. It's super easy and looks great. Sometimes I keep my accessories neutral too, but for this look I thought I would add some color. The best part of an all black and white look? Any color works! Since it was such a beautiful day out, I chose this great turquoise clutch and bright orangey red lipstick.

A quick tip: When wearing black and white make sure your pieces are bright and clean. Black can get dingy and linty so keep a lint roller handy. White shirts especially can get dull and yellow. So make sure to choose your brightest pieces. Also, if you are layering the same colors make sure they match! There are different shades of black and white so make sure they match when they are layered on each other. Your pieces don't have to cost much. As long as they are clean, pressed, and worn well you will look like a million bucks. :)

Happy Thursday!

Summer Maxi

Bracelets: Purple Paparazzi

Dress: H&M $70, Heels: Nine West: $120, Clutch: H&M (old)

This maxi dress is one of my favorite pieces EVER! It's so chic and beautiful. The print reminds me of stain glassed windows. Now, I will admit that it's a biatch to put on and take off. You will definitely need help LOL. But it's so worth it. I had on a pair of gold sandals for day, then traded them for these shoe booties for night. Unfortunately, this dress is sold out online :-/ but H&M has some great maxis you can order here.

Talk to you guys soon!
