Life Update: What I've Been Up To These Past 3 Years

Life is all about adventure.  Whether it's good or bad, it's meant to mold us into the people we are meant to be.  These past 3 years have been adventuresome, to say the least.  As a young girl I would have NEVER guessed in a million years that this would be my life.  I honestly thought that the furthest I would ever go from home, on the East coast, would be California.  I would have never thought that I would see some of the most beautiful countries this planet has to offer, let alone live overseas, in two different countries, these past 3 years.

In 2015 my husband and I moved to Astana Kazakhstan (that giant country right below Russia) and in late 2016 we moved to Georgetown Guyana in South America.  I know you must be wondering why.  Would you believe me if I told you that I'm considered a diplomat?  ðŸ˜³  Crazy, I know.  Let me explain...

That big white building behind me is the Presidential Palace.  Think of it as KZ's version of our White House.

Weekend in Almaty: What I Wore Day 2

Weekend in Almaty: Photo Diary

Over the weekend my husband and I traveled down to southern Kazakhstan and visited the city of Almaty. The weather was warmer, the views were mountainous, and the neighborhoods surprisingly familiar.

While the visit was short, we had a great time! This week I'll be sharing photos from our trip including views, what I wore, and of course yummy food. I hope you enjoy!

Astana Fashion Weekend

Over the weekend the Marriot hotel here in Astana held a fashion event called, Astana Fashion Weekend. It was a three day event where local businesses and designers came to together to showcase and sell their products. Items ranged from handmade knitwear, jewelry, apparel, handbags, and hats. I was really cool to see the local fashion trends. Here are some photos from the event.

Life in Astana: Food Diary

Hi guys! I thought it would be fun to share with you what life is like in our new city, Astana. Throughout our time here I will be sharing some never before seen photo diaries. Since I am such a foodie at heart, I thought I would start with a food and restaurant photo diary first.

We have been incredibly lucky with the food here. The restaurants are beautiful and the food is delicious. Many restaurants even have English menus which help! ;)

I hope you guys enjoy it!

Astana Art Festival

Happy Tuesday! This weekend in Kazakhstan we celebrated Astana Day. Astana Day translates in to Capital Day and the official day was yesterday, the 6th. It is a huge weekend long celebration throughout the city. Today I'm sharing some photos from the art festival. I hope you enjoy!

On this day in Kazakhstan we visited the Khan Shatyr for some shopping. It's one of the many malls in Astana. It's a giant transparent tent. It has a man made beach on the top floor, an arcade, and even a small roller coaster. It's pretty awesome! Lol
